Drive / Automation

air-lux sliding window casements can be motorised as required. The drive motor is installed in the vertical framework profile and moves the sliding window casement element by means of a synchronous toothed belt drive. Servicing and maintenance work can be carried out from below, through the profile. Depending on the building construction and the ceiling cambering, the motor can be fitted on either the interior or the exterior of the window framework.

The opening and closing of the sliding window casement is fully automatic; a control facility monitors the 'exhausting of the pneumatic seal' – 'unlocking' – 'moving' – 'closing' – 'pneumatic inflation of the seal' – 'catch locking'. The opening and closing speed can be programmed in stepped stages.

System control / micro-control characteristics
The system control has an automatic obstruction recognition facility by means of adjustable power thresholds, including a reversing function (e.g. 150N as per European Standard EN …..)
All functions are integrated into the element (control electronics, motor control, etc.). All control parameters can be set via an internal display. The 'learner driver' facility allows training to be carried out to become acquainted with the opening and closing forces; these are updated on an ongoing basis.

Taster und GriffOperation / functions
The operation of the facility is carried out via a LED button, placed near the window, or externally, e.g. as a wall button, or via the building control system. On customer request, other options can be provided; for example, via a key-operated switch, fingerprint, batch control, etc.
